introduction
Many years ago, Blaire was an ordinary but devoted Ivenari alongside her lover. In a terrible attack on the island where they lived, her lover fell victim to the hands of the enemy. Desperate and willing to risk it all, she drew upon the powers of her god, despite the knowledge that her actions went against her faith. Channeling the spirit of the azidae king Ivian directly through her body, the godly powers briefly brought her lover back to life - only for him to beg her to let go. Only then did she realize what she had done. After abandoning her faith, despite only for a brief moment, Blaire’s connection to her god was severed; though her betrayal never forgotten. Immortalized through a change in her appearance from her body being unable to contain the powers of the god of Nimath, she is painfully reminded of her actions every time she’d catch a glimpse of her reflection. Unable to save her beloved, and abandoned by her god for trying, she still wanders the land of Nimath centuries later - her lifespan painfully prolonged by the remains of godly magic in her blood.
Appearance and Personality
The intensity of alterations in her appearance have slowly diminished over time, letting Blaire pass as an average person of Aymenia these days. With small white horns growing atop her head, as well as sea-blue hair with black tips, there’s no reason to believe that this Nimath citizen is anything other than of azidae heritage. Her hair is softly curled and ends right above her shoulders, seemingly never getting longer. Her left eye is light brown while the right one is the same shade of blue as her hair.
She’s most often seen wearing a combination of stylish clothes with light armor, often a mix of both leather and plate.
Despite lacking any typically off-putting qualities, people tend to keep their distance from her. Any conversations that do occur are always kept short, the other person always seeming frightened and intimidated despite themselves being unable to place why. Blaire accepted this many years ago, assuming it as part of the fate as one of the rebuked - despite the physical evidence fading, the wrath of the god she once saw as her savior now forever haunting her.
