Aymenia
The alluring world of Aymenia was created a long, long time ago by a powerful God named Aymon and is ruled by them with the help of their Godly assistants who each lead one of Aymenias regions. Powers from the Aymenian Gods can be granted to individuals in any way they see fit, but magical powers can also be acquired by the common man through study, practice and dedication. In such a world where magic is a natural part of daily life, the majority of people in Aymenia possess some type of magical abilities - although heavily varying in strength and power.
The mystical powers of Aymon have shaped the world, and many places in Aymenia have magical powers etched into the land and scenery. The vegetation grows in ways it shouldn’t be able to, pieces of land float without gravity and the deep forest feels a little too alive. High mountains are raised around the edges of Aymenia in almost every part of the world, and they work as a protective border for the inhabitants. Civilization is spread out all over the world, but certain places are more ingrained in the natural environment of Aymenia than others. In these places, the levels of magic naturally found in the environment tend to be higher and the way the world looks tends to be more unnatural than in less magical places. Oddly sized trees and large amounts of flowers and wildlife are ordinary for these locations. The amount of magical powers naturally found in the environment also affect an individual's ability to wield magic of their own, which is why more peaceful locations tend to stay quite unthreatened; as most who try to wield destructive magic get restricted by the environment. A lot of people and creatures in Aymenia have animalistic or unnatural traits, such as horns, wings and unusual skin colors. These traits are also more common in the highly magical areas, and it’s not unusual that you can tell a creature's origin simply by their appearance.
